Loh Eng Soon, Eric (b. 1969), BSc (Computer and Information Sciences, NUS), MBA (MACQ), GDipBA (SIM), LLCM, LTCL, LLCM (TD), ATCL, ALCM (TD), DipMusLCM, MISM.
Eric is at the meeting point between IT and the Arts!
Having worked for Hewlett Packard for 13 years, he was first an engineer, then progressed to trainer, manager and, latterly, consultant for the Asia Pacific region. He gave this up in order to pursue his passion for playing and teaching the classical guitar.
Eric has been playing since the age of 14, progressing through the grades (AB) and continuing to enjoy playing throughout his career in IT, incorporating some private teaching. In 2009 he made the decision to teach full-time and since has established a large and flourishing practice, first in a music school and now at home. He has continued to study and has gained both teaching and performing diplomas, but is ever eager to learn more.
Eric has a wife, Helen, and 3 children and, in his spare time, enjoys maintaining his 3 aquariums.
Eric teaches mostly from his private home studio near Seng Kang MRT (3 minutes walk from MRT), and in Poco Music Studio. He can be contacted at
